We have a dual purpose for every trip we take in our Medical Mission Outreach.
First, our goal is to bring honor and glory to Jesus Christ our Savior, by bringing others to Him. We try our best to make the presentation of the Gospel in a way, that each person knows that it does not benefit their medical treatment, or appease us for them to simply “pray a prayer” that they are taught. We try to have the missionary or people that he has trained from his church present the Gospel to each person one on one. At the missionary’s request, we are willing to help provide Bibles and Gospel tracts for their use.
Secondly, our goal is to be of assistance to the missionary. We realize that our time on the field is short, but the missionary has dedicated to serve the Lord there for as long as He directs. Therefore, we abide by the missionaries standards of conduct and dress. Everything that we do is done in the name of that church, so that all attention is drawn to the work being done by the local church. We pray that after we leave, those who have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior will unite themselves with the church planted by the missionary where they can receive needed help and growth in their new relationship.
