My name is Ryan Macatugal. I currently live in Rock Hill, South Carolina, with my lovely wife, Katie. I have been practicing as a Physical Therapist since 2017 after graduating from the University of Maryland in Baltimore. I initially was introduced to MMO in 2013 serving as a non-medical volunteer in Guatemala while still in active duty for the USAF. It was then that the Lord started tugging at my heart to be active in getting the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost no matter what role I served in. It was on my second trip eight years later while serving in Romania, this time as a medical professional, that the Lord gave a clear call to my heart to take a step of faith towards medical missions. And in 2024, after seeing firsthand the beauty of unity amongst believers serving beside each other with joy to the end that the gospel may be preached to the uttermost, that I finally surrendered to a life of missions. It is with great honor to be a part of MMO by serving as Director of Physical Therapy, but an even greater honor to serve amongst other impassioned believers who believe in the power of the gospel to change a life and heal the brokenness of a human heart. To God be the glory, great things He has done!
